Greyhound on the Green is an independently run park kiosk in the heart of Islington. Becks, Ross and Sullivan (said greyhound) want to shake up the kiosk world by providing a small but perfectly formed menu of tasty, fresh, quality food - with a feel good factor. That’s why we work with people like Bread by Bike, Rubies in the Rubble and Redemption Roasters, so your food isn’t just good for you, it’s good for the community and environment. It’s also really important to us that we’re accessible to everyone, so we’ve tried our hardest to keep our costs down and be affordable… with special price points for anyone working for the NHS and over 65s.
Aside from delicious coffee and food you can expect events tailored to our lovely local community, a place where you’re welcome even for a free glass of tap water and a chat or to browse our free book shelf. Oh and of course, we’re dog friendly.
Freshly ground to order from our mates at Redemption Roasters… and also available to purchase.
Your usual favourites made with either milk or oat milk.
Earl Grey/Peppermint/Green Tea
All from our friends at TeaPigs.
Breakfast - served till 10.30am
Choose from delicious overnight oats (watch out for the PBJ ones!), fresh sourdough toast smudged with our favourite flavours from London Borough of Jam… or the classic, fried egg sarnie.
We’ll always serve a classic ham/cheese/pickle on the go but for those after something different we’ll have some weekly specials. You can expect things like halloumi with harissa hummus & roasted veg or parma ham, sage & mozzarella. We’ll have homemade soup to keep cosy in winter and fresh, hearty salads to keep cool in summer.
We’ll have a daily loaf cake on the go like our take on McVitie’s Ginger Cake, popcorn, homemade ice lollies (watermelon & mint anyone?) and of course brownies and cinnamon buns from Bread by Bike.
